Hello and welcome to Truckers 4 Changes.
Brief History
T4C was thought of as a result of a number of drivers in North Bend, Washington watching as fuel jumped 40 cents per gallon. We looked at each other and the words were almost identical from each other, "How are we gonna make it?"As we talked that evening, there were other issues in the trucking industry that needed to be looked into. The question was how; how do we do this? The idea of coming together and bringing other truckers together with us is something that needed to be done. The electronic media was a good place because we could reach far and wide with it, and the decision was made to do so.
Over the next couple years, we focused on bringing truckers together and getting the word out about our organization. In early 2008, contact was made with TACU and we joined hands with them and were involved in rallies in Albany, NY, Harrisburg, PA, Atlanta, GA, and Washington DC (where we spent 3 days on capital hill).
Beginning of 2009 brought change as TACU disbanded and some of the membership from there, came on board with T4C. Over the last year, realization has came with new administration that if we don't focus on some issues within the country, there will be no need to focus on the trucking industry. This is when we had citizens come on board and transformed into Truckers and Citizens 4 Change, but kept the original name.
We need to look at getting the Constitution back into Washington, working with like-minded politicians to make that happen.
In our site, you will find a page pertaining to political issues that need to be looked at and worked on. You will also find a page of trucking issues that we will be looking at and working on. Both of these pages will be updated regularly and nothing will be placed on the site that had not been verified. You will also find a page where you can sign up for membership in T4C. This membership will cost you nothing other than the commitment to stand together with your brothers and sisters to make a difference. All information on the membership page will be strictly confidential. Only admin will be able to see this page.
